Exhibition: “The Mediterranean—An Ocean of Life”

Exhibition at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport – Summer 2025

A fascinating photographic journey that celebrates the richness, diversity, and beauty of the Mediterranean’s marine ecosystems—a precious natural heritage to be discovered, admired, and protected for future generations.

To mark the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3) being held in Nice, Mediterranean marine biodiversity will be on display at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport throughout the summer. As a major international hub, the airport offers unique visibility to policymakers, international delegations, and scientists gathered for the conference, as well as to millions of travelers passing through.

Designed as a visual immersion, the exhibition *An Ocean of Life* reveals the unsuspected richness of the Mediterranean—an ecosystem that is often overlooked but essential to the balance of our planet.

Terminal 1 highlights the vast pelagic waters of the Pelagos Sanctuary, home to whales, dolphins, sea turtles, seabirds, and pelagic fish.

Terminal 2 immerses visitors in coastal ecosystems: Posidonia seagrass beds, rocky and sandy seabeds, and coralligenous reefs—true havens for lush flora and fauna.

Finally, a dedicated section highlights the human pressures that threaten this fragile balance: pollution, climate change, overfishing…

Through powerful images captured during expeditions in the Mediterranean, this artistic and educational exhibition invites visitors to rediscover our inland sea from a new perspective: no longer as a closed, overexploited, and degraded sea, but as an ocean teeming with life.

This exhibition is a passionate call to love, understand, and protect the Mediterranean.
